2 fall to COVID on Tuesday

Shillong, Oct 12: Meghalaya recorded two more COVID-19 related deaths today taking the number of fatalities in the state to 1,425.
The Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War informed that one death each was reported from East Khasi Hills district and West Khasi Hills district.
Dr War said the state has also detected 93 new COVID-19 cases. These include 47 in East Khasi Hills, 37 West Khasi Hills, 5 Ri Bhoi and 1 each in East Garo Hills, East Jaintia Hills, West Garo Hills and West Jaintia Hills.
Dr War also informed that 122 persons have recovered from the viral infection.
Of these, 63 are from East Khasi Hills, 34 West Jaintia Hills, 13 West Khasi Hills, 3 South West Khasi Hills, 2 East Jaintia Hills, 2 Ri Bhoi, 1 North Garo Hills and 1 West Garo Hills.
So far, a total of 82,580 COVID-19 cases have been detected in the state out of which 1,021 are active cases, 80,134 recovered while there have been 1,425 deaths.
