Shillong, April 19: The talented Meghalaya cricketer Abhay Negi fired with both bat and bowl to secure a memorable win for his club his maiden UK stint with Northern Premier League club, Fulwood and Broughton.

On his debut, the Meghalaya cricketer made a solid all-around contribution by taking a 5-wicket haul and scoring a spectacular 120 not out to lead his team Fulwood and Broughton CC to 134-run victory over Blackpool CC in Northern Premier Cricket League, Division One.

Negi plays as a pace-bowling all-rounder for Meghalaya, and in November 2019, he had scored the fastest fifty in the history of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (T20), scoring 50 not out off just 14 balls against Mizoram.

Abhay Negi has now played two remarkable seasons for Meghalaya in Indian domestic cricket. Northern Premier League club, Fulwood and Broughton, have signed the Meghalayan all-rounder for their 2021 campaign.

Fulwood and Broughton have 3 Saturday teams competing in the Northern League, the Moore and Smalley Palace Shield, Division 1B and Division 3. A Sunday team, a 20/20 team and a midweek team competes in the Boddingtons Village Cricket League (fixtures on Wednesday evenings). The Northern Premier Cricket League is a cricket league in the North West of England and was designated as an ECB Premier League in 2000.
