No entry into Iewduh sans masks

Shillong, April 23: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) has decided to prohibit people from entering Iewduh sans masks.
Speaking to reporters here today, KHADC chief Titosstarwell Chyne said that he has already asked the Acting Syiem of Hima Mylliem to impose strict protocols for traders and market goers at Iewduh.
“Crowding will be strictly prohibited and people who fail to wear masks will not be allowed to enter Iewduh,” he said.
Stating that the council will assess the situation, Chyne said, “If need be, we will also depute personnel from the enforcement wing to ensure people do not violate the protocols in order to prevent spread of the virus.”
“However if people do not pay heed to the protocols, we will be left with no other option but to close down the market,” he also warned.
