Three fall to Covid on Friday

Shillong, Sept 24: Meghalaya recorded three more COVID-19 related deaths today taking the total number of fatalities in the state to 1,389.
The Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War informed that the two deaths were reported from East Khasi Hills district and 1 from West Jaintia Hills district.
Dr War said the state has also detected 184 new COVID-19 cases. These include 91 in East Khasi Hills, 62 West Khasi Hills, 19 West Jaintia Hills, 6 Ri Bhoi, 2 East Jaintia Hills, 2 South West Khasi Hills, 1 South West Garo Hills and 1 West Garo Hills.
Dr War also informed that 159 persons have recovered from the viral infection. Of these, 61 are from East Khasi Hills, 59 West Jaintia Hills, 18 West Khasi Hills, 6 East Jaintia Hills, 6 West Garo Hills, 3 East Garo Hills, 3 South West Khasi Hills and 3 Ri Bhoi.
So far, a total of 80,430 COVID-19 cases have been detected in the state out of which 1,990 are active cases, 77, 051 recovered while there have been 1,389 deaths.
